This service is currently available to all Pharmacies within Stockport, Central, South and North Manchester and Salford CCG localities but other CCGs may join in future.
MESSAGE FOR SALFORD CONTRACTORS – If you wish to join up to this service please sign the signature page of the SLA and email to AGM.Optometry-Pharmacy@nhs.net once you have received confirmation from the Area Team and the service is made live on Pharmoutcomes you may deliver this service.

Greater Manchester Minor Ailments Scheme – GP REFERRAL LETTER
Please find below a template GP referral letter for the Minor Ailments Scheme. A link to the letter will also be placed on the PharmOutcomes module and the Community Pharmacy Greater Manchester website. Though we encourage all pharmacies to use the template letter, it’s use is optional and pharmacies should discuss with their local practices how best they would like patients referred to them.
Minor Ailments Service
We have been informed that the Area Team have made two temporary changes to the MAS formulary due to manufacturing issues.
Cuplex gel has been replaced with Salactol
Quinoderm both strengths has been replaced by Acnecide gel 5%
Pharmacies are being made aware of the changes via PharmOutcomes in addition to this message. Please can we take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of checking PharmOutcomes for updates regarding services on a regular basis.
Formulary Update: July 2014
Quinoderm – the 25g 5% tube is no longer available it has been agreed to include the 50g tube in the formulary instead
