Pharmacy Finance Scheme

Pharmacy Finance Scheme

The government has introduced a Pharmacy Finance Scheme, which enables pharmacy contractors to receive payment for dispensed prescriptions in as little as eight days after submission of the prescription bundle. The scheme is administered in partnership with Citibank who make the advance payments to contractors who sign up for the scheme. The aims of the scheme are to help contractors better manage cash flow and to enable them to settle their accounts more quickly.

Part I of the Drug Tariff contains information on the payment timetable for contractors utilising the scheme.

For more information or to register for the scheme please visit the Citibank website.
