Greater Manchester primary care news

March 8, 2018

Primary care providers and commissioners across Greater Manchester are working in partnership to improve the health and wellbeing of our 2.8m population. There are some really exciting initiatives, and community pharmacy is well represented with projects including the Pharmacy Care Plan pilot, Inhaler Technique, Healthy Living Pharmacy, and Minor Ailments Scheme. Other areas include improving eye health, a new Drug & Alcohol Strategy for Greater Manchester, and a Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy. It’s all part of wider ambitions following health and social care devolution.

This newsletter tells you about the vision for primary care and progress to date. It has been produced by Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership to update people on the Primary Care Delivery Plan.
