Media and Corporate Communications job opportunity at PSNC

THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

Are you passionate about community pharmacy and experienced in communications? If so, we would love to hear from you as we make the case for this critical part of primary care.

PSNC is looking to recruit a Media and Corporate Communications Manager as part of our Communications and Public Affairs Directorate.

The postholder will be helping us to make the case for community pharmacy through the national media, while also looking after our corporate communications and brand. Typical tasks will include drafting articles, press releases, comments and briefings and to help get impactful and persuasive coverage of community pharmacy in the national press, as well as looking at how PSNC communicates with the pharmacies that we represent.

This is a new role to support our busy communications function (we send almost daily newsletters to our 18,000+ subscribers, as well as welcoming some 8,000 people daily to our website). It comes at a critical time for community pharmacy as PSNC works hard to get increased recognition and funding for pharmacies, and ahead of our upcoming name change to Community Pharmacy England.

We are looking for someone with previous success in either managing national media relations to deliver impactful coverage, or handling successful communications as part of significant corporate programmes. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience of managing a brand’s voice and who will be confident handling media queries. They should be highly competent at writing press releases and have experience of working to tight deadlines in a pressured environment. As well as being willing to roll their sleeves up and deliver day to day, they will have an eye to the bigger picture and be able to maintain a consistent narrative for external stakeholders.

Employment type: Permanent, full-time (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week)

Location: Hybrid working (remote/central London).
