Media skills training for LPCs – 18th October, London
We ran media skills training for LPCs earlier in the year and have had requests from LPCs to repeat the training for those LPCs that missed it due to sell out dates. With the proposed changes to the pharmacy framework and funding still not resolved, and other pharmacy stories unexpectedly hitting the headlines, the need for LPCs to work effectively with the media continues this year and beyond.
Contractors can expect their LPC to have the confidence and ability to respond to requests from the media for interviews or proactively creating media interest. Either way it’s not something to attempt without the right training – otherwise things can disastrously backfire.
We are repeating our media training on 18th October in central London at leading communications agency Luther Pendragon – 10.30am to 4pm.
The media training, which is for LPC members and officers that haven’t been on this year’s programme, will give LPC members a better understanding of how the media works, getting the right facts and key messages for different audiences, how to prepare for and handle interviews with local radio and questions from local newspapers, tips, dealing with difficult questions and the traps to avoid. The day will also include proactive media work including preparing press releases and how to approach local newspapers and radio.
The training will be led by two experienced media experts from Luther Pendragon – numbers will be strictly limited to allow delegates to practice and receive feedback.
Location – Luther Pendragon – London
Cost – £199
