Applications open for CPPE’s Foundation pharmacist training pathway

Applications are now open for the Centre of Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) Foundation pharmacist training pathway.

The fully funded 12-month programme aims to support the development of the necessary knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience to deliver excellent patient care. The programme is a mix of online tutor-supported study, learning activities, workshops, assessments and work-based support through CPPE tutors which will be offered as part of the programme.

Topics covered in the programme include life skills and leadership, medicines optimisation, long-term conditions and NHS and public health services.

You are eligible to apply if you are:

  • a newly qualified pharmacist (2016 onwards);
  • a community pharmacist returning to practice after a career break;
  • a pharmacist moving to community practice from another practice environment; or
  • a locum pharmacist working at least three days per week in an independent or small multiple community pharmacy.

The application deadline is 14th October 2018; successful applicants will be informed on 19th October 2018 and the course will commence 5th November 2018. This programme has a limit of 100 places.
