Are you a newly qualified pharmacist?

Applications are now open for the Centre of Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) Foundation pharmacist training pathway.

The fully funded 12-month programme aims to support the development of the necessary knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience to deliver excellent patient care. A comprehensive mix of online tutor-supported study, learning activities, workshops, assessments and work-based support through CPPE tutors will be offered as part of the programme.

Topics covered in the programme include life skills and leadership, medicines optimisation and polypharmacy, long-term conditions and NHS and public health services.

To be eligible you must be a newly qualified pharmacist (you qualified after October 2015) and be either:

  • working for an independent or small multiple community pharmacy (as defined by this Pharmaceutical Journal article); or
  • a locum pharmacist working at least three days per week in community pharmacy.

The application deadline is 25th September 2017*; successful applicants will be informed on 20th October 2017 and the course will commence 6th November 2017. This programme has a limit of 100 places.
