Class 3 MHRA drug alert – Sodium Cromoglicate 2% Eye Drops and Murine Hayfever Relief 2% Eye Drops (FDC International Ltd)

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a class 3 pharmacy, wholesaler and retailer level recall for:

  1. Sodium Cromoglicate 2% 13.5ml Eye Drops (FDC International Ltd)

Batch number: 086I069

Expiry date: August 2019

  1. Murine Hayfever Relief 2% 10ml Eye Drops (GSL) (FDC International Ltd)

Batch number: 086L075

Expiry date: November 2018

FDC International Ltd is recalling the above batches due to the presence of a precipitate, which has been identified as Sodium Cromoglicate, in some bottles. All remaining packs of the listed batches should be quarantined and returned to the original supplier.
