Does your practice leaflet comply with the Terms of Service?

July 24, 2018

Community pharmacy contractors are reminded that their practice leaflet must comply with the latest set of Approved Particulars (part of a pharmacy’s Terms of Service) by 31st July 2018.

Earlier this year, NHS England published updated Approved Particulars relating to the Pharmacy Practice Leaflet. The new Approved Particulars will take effect on 31st July 2018, so contractors are advised to update their leaflets urgently so they have a revised leaflet available for patients by that date.

PSNC has updated its Pharmacy Practice Leaflet template which contractors can use to help meet this Terms of Service requirement.

The Pharmacy Practice Leaflet Approved Particulars were updated to reflect changes to NHS structures and guidance on use of the NHS identity; the updated requirements for leaflets no longer refer to Primary Care Trusts or NHS Direct instead referring to NHS England and NHS 111. They are also now in line with the revised NHS identity guidance published in 2017.
