Free live ‘Talk Cancer for Pharmacy’ workshops

Free live ‘Talk Cancer for Pharmacy’ workshops

December 3, 2020

Cancer Research UK are inviting community pharmacy staff to take part in one of their ‘Talk Cancer for Pharmacy’ live online workshops.

The training is designed to equip and empower all community pharmacy staff to raise cancer awareness as part of their role. The workshops focus on building the trainees’ knowledge of key messages and builds on their communication skills to have supportive conversations around cancer prevention, screening and early diagnosis.

Contractors may find that what is covered in the workshops is also valuable to support their teams with any health campaigns encouraging healthy lifestyles, particularly in relation to cancer.

Pharmacy staff can choose from one of two workshop dates to join:

  • Wednesday 9th December 2020 7pm-9pm – sign up here
  • Tuesday 15th December 2020 7pm-9pm – sign up here

These workshops are free to participate in, but staff are advised to register to avoid disappointment due to training dates being oversubscribed.
