MHRA company-led drug alert – Parallel imported One-Alpha 2 micrograms/ml drops x 10ml (Star Pharmaceuticals Ltd repackaged by Servipharm Ltd)

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a company-led drug recall for certain batches of:

Parallel imported One-Alpha (alfacalcidol) 2 micrograms/ml oral drops x 10ml (Star Pharmaceuticals Ltd repackaged by Servipharm Ltd)

Batch numbers:

  • A33881 (expires October 2019); and
  • A37295 (expires December 2019).

This product is being recalled because the droppers included in the affected packs deliver 0.05 micrograms of alfacalcidol instead of 0.1 micrograms as labelled on the pack.
