National clinical audit 2018/19: Less than two weeks left to complete data collection

December 4, 2018

Community pharmacy contractors are reminded that data collection for the national clinical audit needs to be completed by Sunday 16th December 2018. Therefore, if contractors have not started their data collection for the audit, they are encouraged to start as soon as possible to ensure they meet the above deadline.

The audit will generally need to be conducted over a one-week period (this may need to be extended to a longer period in order that a minimum of ten patients per community pharmacy are covered by the data collection), with data collection completed by Sunday 16th December 2018. The audit data then needs to be submitted to NHS England’s web-based portal by midnight on 30th December 2018.

Steps for contractors to follow

1. Choose a week when you will commence the data collection
(this must conclude by 16th December 2018);

2. Download copies of the audit paperwork;

3. Follow the instructions in the audit guidance; and

4. Submit your collated audit data to NHS England using the web-based form
(this must be submitted by midnight on 30th December 2018).

This PSNC guide explains how to submit your audit data to NHS England.
