New consultation skills floor on CPPE’s theLearningpharmacy.com

February 19, 2016

The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) has developed a new floor on the online learning platform, theLearningpharmacy.com which focuses on consultation skills.

This floor compliments CPPE’s consultation skills for pharmacy teams resource which is being sent out to community pharmacies in England this month.

CPPE’s theLearningpharmacy.com is a virtual community pharmacy that offers interactive bite-sized challenges for the whole pharmacy team. There are a number of different floors with each floor representing a different topic area.

The consultation skills floor focuses on areas such as:

  • introductions;
  • body language;
  • building rapport;
  • difficult discussions;
  • overcoming barriers;
  • shared decision making; and
  • patient-centred care

The tool is free to use and can be accessed by the whole pharmacy team.
