No Smoking Day – new PHE Smokefree resources available

March 13, 2018

To build on the Health Harms campaign which launched in late December 2017, Public Health England (PHE) has made available a further social media resource to promote No Smoking Day, which is on Wednesday 14th March 2018.

No Smoking Day is an annual health awareness day in the United Kingdom which is intended to help smokers who want to quit smoking.

The new No Smoking Day .gif from PHE can be used on digital and social channels to encourage smokers to quit. Materials from the Health Harms campaign are still available to order and download from PHE.

PHE has suggested the following text to accompany social posts:

  • It’s No Smoking Day on 14 March – the perfect time to quit smoking. For free support going #Smokefree, visit www.nhs.uk/smokefree.
  • Quitting smoking is the best thing you’ll ever do for your health, your family and your wallet! So this No Smoking Day, join the millions who’ve already gone #Smokefree. Visit www.nhs.uk/smokefree for all the free support available.
  • Ready to quit smoking this No Smoking Day, but not sure how to do it? There’s lots of free support available to help you go #Smokefree and give up for good. Visit www.nhs.uk/smokefree to find the help that works for you.
