Processes for 2018 PSNC elections announced

November 3, 2017

Election proceedings for 13 Regional Representatives and three non-CCA Multiple Representatives to the PSNC Committee have been announced.

Routine elections for these committee members are held on a four-yearly basis, with the current term of office due to expire on 31st March 2018. PSNC is therefore making initial preparations for the election process which will begin early in the New Year.

As part of our election preparations, PSNC requires all non-CCA multiple chemists to confirm and/or provide head office details, the total number of premises (and their addresses if not known by PSNC), their AIM membership number, and an election contact. PSNC will be writing to all non-CCA multiples to request this information.

PSNC will also be verifying its database of all independent community pharmacy contractors, and of LPC members and officers. LPC Chief Officers will shortly be sent a list of members and officers identified by PSNC so that these can be verified and asked to confirm all independent contractors in their area.

Two new PSNC Briefings outline the election processes in full, including actions required for those seeking to stand for or vote in the elections:

PSNC Briefing 082/17: Guide to the Regional Representative Elections

PSNC Briefing 083/17: Guide to the (non-CCA) Multiple Chemist elections
