Shortage Notice – Disopyramide 150mg capsules – Update

DHSC have advised that Mylan, the sole supplier of disopyramide 150mg capsules, has had a delay to their resupply date.

Mylan will be out of stock of Disopyramide 150mg capsules to approximately 13th December 2019.

Supplies are available from specialist importers on an ‘unlicensed’ basis. Ensure that where a prescriber wishes you to dispense an import, prescriptions are annotated ‘specials/unlicensed’ and are endorsed as follows:

  • Amount dispensed over pack size used;
  • Invoice price per pack size from which the order was supplied less any discount or rebate;
  • Manufacturers’/importers’ MHRA licence number;
  • Batch number of the product supplied;
  • SP
