Updated notice: PPE claims via MYS

Update (13/01/2021) – As of Wednesday 13th January, the personal protective equipment (PPE) claim tab on the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal is now live and fully functioning. The simplified alternative claim spreadsheet for multiples is also due for release at the same time. PSNC remains very conscious that the delays will cause problems for contractors and are continuing to work through these issues with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). We will update contractors on this as soon as possible.


Update (06/01/2021) – Yesterday we informed contractors of a problem with the personal protective equipment (PPE) claim tab on the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal. It was expected to be fixed by today but further issues have emerged unfortunately, and we are now not expecting the PPE Claims functionality to go live today (January 6th). We will update contractors as soon as we have a confirmed launch date.

PSNC is very conscious that the delays cause problems for contractors both in terms of shortening the claims window and potentially delaying payment now that the January 5th claims deadline has passed – we will work through these issues with Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to ensure that a fully working PPE claims system is launched, and meets contractors’ needs, as soon as possible.


The NHSBSA have reported that they are still experiencing issues with the personal protective equipment (PPE) claim tab on the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal. The claims window for reimbursement of PPE opened on 1st January 2021 but contractors have reported difficulties when trying to submit their claims.

The NHSBSA have investigated this and confirmed that the PPE Claim functionality that was due to be released in the MYS portal on 1st January is not visible to users as expected. The NHSBSA have a fix ready to deploy but are unable to do this while users are on the system completing their end of month submissions for other services.

To minimise any disruption for users already using the system, NHSBSA will apply a fix and restart MYS at 7:00am on Wednesday 6th January, so that the PPE Claims functionality is available and ready for users to complete when they log-in to MYS. The MYS service will be down for up to one hour on Wednesday morning whilst a new fix is deployed.

Note:there is a separate central PPE claims process for those pharmacies with six or more branches and that the deadline for submitting all PPE claims is 12th February 2021.
