Description

This service will use the Medicines Use Review (MUR) service to target patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma that have poor inhaler technique. Patients with poor inhaler technique will be offered an intervention that will be delivered by a community pharmacist and consist of three consultations over a period of three months.

The three inhaler technique consultations to be delivered include:

  1. MUR and Initial inhaler technique assessment;
  2. Inhaler technique follow up – One month after MUR; and
  3. Final inhaler technique assessment – Three months after MUR.

Training
