Description
The pharmacy contractor shall deliver specialist stop smoking cessation support, monitoring and follow up in clinical and community based settings. The service shall provide intensive support to smokers in Oxfordshire and will be run by advisors who have received training in line with the NHS Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training.

Training
Staff involved in the delivery of smoking cessation interventions (“Smoking Cessation Advisors”) shall be trained in accordance with the standards recommended by the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT). Local training (Level 2 - Smoking Cessation Advisors) is provided by the Oxfordshire Smoking Advice Service.
