Training
Pharmacy contractors need to ensure that their staff have received appropriate level 1 and/or level 2 training to support quit attempts in their settings.
Training is provided by the West Sussex Specialist Stop Smoking Service Provider and in accordance with the National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) standards.
Staff should attend periodic update and training sessions provided or recommended by West Sussex Specialist Stop Smoking Service: one member of the pharmacy staff is to attend an update training course every year and cascade to colleagues in the pharmacy team.
