Description
The aim of the Service is to provide an accessible stop smoking service in the community using Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) together with support and advice. The service will support patients to achieve a 4-week quit and to stop smoking permanently. A four-week quit is defined as “not having smoked in the third and fourth week after the quit date”.
The Service is delivered in partnership with the Be Well Tameside commissioned from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, commissioned by Tameside Population Health.
NRT products will also be supplied to clients that are recommended by other stop smoking advisors on the production of an appropriate medication request letter.
