Description
This NHS Stop Smoking Service will be available to individuals aged 12 years and over who smoke tobacco, require help to quit and are one or more of the following:
- resident in Sunderland;
- registered with a Sunderland GP;
- working in Sunderland; or
- attending a school or college within Sunderland.
All service users will, once they have set a quit date and agreed to take part in the behavioural support programme, be offered and encouraged to participate in a programme of structured support. For one to one support this includes four weekly sessions, followed by a further four fortnightly sessions only for service users who have successfully quit at four weeks.
Under the scheme, an approved Sunderland NRT Voucher must be used.
