A service where the pharmacist will supervise the patient taking methadone, Suboxone or Subutex with the aim of:
- reducing the patient need to use drugs of misuse;
- reducing the possibility of leakage into the community; and
- reducing the level of crime associated with drug misuse.

Training
Pharmacists participating in this service will be expected to attend one of two training sessions organised by KCA (UK) and must be undertaking or have successfully completed the CPPE Substance Use and Misuse Open Learning Programme and accompanying assessment (10 hours).
