Services Database Walk in my Shoes Project (Lewisham Area)
Lewisham CCG ran the 'walk in my shoes' project which facilitated inter-professional exchange for GP practice staff and community pharmacy staff.
This project enabled GPs, other clinical and administrative practice staff to gain practical insight into the working environment of community pharmacy. It also gave the opportunity for pharmacists and their dispensing staff the opportunity to see the working environment of general practice.
The aim of the project was to promote:
- more effective working relationships between GP practices and pharmacy staff through shared insight; and
- improve the overall ability of healthcare professionals to support patients in the medicines optimisation agenda.
