Our colleagues in Greater Manchester have issued the attached warning regarding harm reduction information and advice around High potency MDMA (Ecstasy). Further advice has been provided by Public Health England:

“If you are going to a festival this summer we hope you have a great time but you should remember that taking drugs is always risky and some can be lethal. The safest option is not to take them at all because you can never really be sure what’s in them or how strong they are.

You can reduce the risks by taking smaller amounts of a drug first and waiting, staying with friends and keeping hydrated. Look after yourselves and each other.”

Get help straight away: call for help (ring for an ambulance or take them to a first aid/welfare tent) as soon as they feel unwell or you’re worried about them. If they are unconscious put them on their side so they don’t choke on vomit, call for help and stay with them until help arrives.
