Time needed to prepare prescriptions: For example patients should be aware that afer leaving the GP surgery with a prescribing token for an acute medicine, the pharmacy next door the medicine would be unlikely to be bagged-up ready for collection.

The message would be available for download from the Spine shortly after the prescriber has sent the prescription, pharmacies need to manually check and download messages during the day.
