Check34 is a new online system to help community pharmacies in England analyse and monitor the prescription data you receive every month from the Pricing Authority. The NPA working with the PSNC can offer this service to you free of charge as part of your NPA Membership package.
Declaration of Competence – developed by the CPPE to support contractors to assure commissioners that they are service-ready and have the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver high-quality, consistent services. Many commissioners are now including the DoC model in their service specifications, service level agreements and patient group directions. Direction of Prescriptions Is there anything that can be done by a pharmacy if a large number of patients have stopped coming to the pharmacy, possibly as a consequence of a mailshot by other pharmacies?  Please see PSNC prescription page for advice and FAQs.  PSNC also has a template letter for patients who have stopped visiting a pharmacy which can be modified locally.

Drug Driving Legislation – It is an offence to drive with a blood concentration level above certain limits for specific drugs. Irritable Bowel Syndrome –  As you may be aware new treatments for IBS have been given the green status in Dorset CCG and there is also an update from NICE on IBS management. The LPC educational meeting for contractors held in June 2015 on the Management & Treatment of IBS was led by Sue Surgenor, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Specialist Nurse at Poole Hospital.  The presentation from the meeting is available here.

Research – The Clinical Research Network (CRN) has a small but increasing flow of research studies that can involve community pharmacies.
