HLP Health Champions training

Tuesday, 31 July, 2018 9.00am-5.00pm, Tue 31st Jul & Wed 1st Aug
Stopford House, Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE

This course meets the requirements for becoming a Health Champion for Healthy Living Pharmacy Level 1. (It is a RSPH Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement course.)

Suitable for: Pharmacy staff who have not previously completed Health Champions training.
(It contains the same content as previous Health Champions courses.)

Participants will gain a better understanding and appreciation of how health inequalities may develop and current policies for addressing them. It will provide you with knowledge and understanding of the principles of promoting health and wellbeing. It will also equip you to support your customers in trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

The course lasts two days (Tue 31st July & Wed 1st Aug), with a Multiple Choice Test towards the end of the second day. It runs from 9am-5pm each day at Stopford House, Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE. (Note: Please bring your own lunch, as lunch will not be provided.)

Book here.

Please note:

  • Applicants MUST attend BOTH training dates and produce photographic ID to complete HLP Champions training.
  • Places limited to 1 place per pharmacy.
  • As places are limited, you must contact us if you’ve booked a place but cannot attend, so we can offer your place to other pharmacies – otherwise, you will be charged the £65.00 course fee.
  • This is the same as previous HLP Champion training. If you completed HLP Health Champions training last year, you do not need to do this course.

If you have any questions, please contact GMLPC on 0161 228 6163 or enquiries@gmlpc.org.uk.
