HLP Health Champions training (6th & 7th December)

Thursday, 6 December, 2018 9am-5pm
The Studio, The Hive, 51 Lever Street, Manchester, M1 1FN

This two-day training course enables pharmacy staff to become qualified Health Champions, helping pharmacies meet the requirements for Healthy Living Pharmacy Level 1. (Pharmacies can claim 15 Quality Payments points in February 2019 – worth £480-£960 – if they are Healthy Living Pharmacy Level 1.)

One requirement of HLP Level 1 is that each pharmacy has at least one full-time-equivalent member of staff who has completed this RSPH Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement course.

The course aims to enable participants to gain a better understanding and appreciation of how inequalities in health may develop and the current policies for addressing these. It will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the principles of promoting health and well-being and equip you to support your customers in trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

The course is over two days with a Multiple Choice Test towards the end of the second day.
