Webinar: Safer, smarter community pharmacy

Monday, 15 May, 2017 7.30pm-8.30pm

The webinar runs from 7.30pm-8.30pm on Monday 15th May. Register for it here.

Our next GMLPC webinar focuses on developing a strong patient safety culture in your pharmacy and how pharmacy can promote patient safely more widely (e.g. sharing lessons learned with primary care colleagues). We have some fantastic presenters and, as always, the emphasis is on practical tools and tips that you can apply in your day-to-day work. As well as explaining why a patient safety culture is so important, we will share real examples from Greater Manchester pharmacies that are doing really good work on improving patient safety. The webinar will also cover different mechanisms for reporting incidents and sharing learning, with a real focus on demonstrating how this can improve safety in pharmacies and other care settings.

Presenters include:

  • Dr Penny Lewis and Dr Denham Phipps, University of Manchester
  • Janice Perkins, PSNC and Well
  • Fin Mc Caul and Sarah Woods, Greater Manchester LPC
