ACTION REQUIRED: All pharmacies must appoint DPO to be GDPR compliant

PSNC has announced that it is now advising ALL pharmacy contractors, regardless of size, that they must appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to be compliant with the new GDPR requirements that come into effect on 25th May. It follows a statement in the House of Commons yesterday. It had been hoped that small pharmacies would be exempt from the requirement to appoint a DPO.

As a result, PSNC is advising all pharmacies to act now to appoint a DPO.
