Bury: Dementia-friendly communities invitation

Bury: Dementia-friendly communities invitation

May 30, 2017

Bury pharmacies have been invited to take part in plans to make the borough dementia-friendly.

Making your pharmacy dementia-friendly is a fantastic way of meeting your patients’ / customers’ needs, helping people with dementia feel comfortable and reassured. It also fits really well with the Quality Payments for ensuring 80% of patient-facing pharmacy staff are Dementia Friends and with plans for all pharmacies in Greater Manchester to become dementia-friendly.

Bury Council is inviting all community pharmacies in the borough to get involved with its Dementia Friendly Communities scheme. They are holding a number of township meetings where you can find out more and get involved. They are particularly interested in anyone with a passion for creating dementia-friendly environments and communities, and who may like to champion change.

You can also display this poster in your pharmacy for patients and customers who may be interested in getting involved.
