Consultation: Pharmacist training/protocols in Greater Manchester

Consultation: Pharmacist training/protocols in Greater Manchester

April 3, 2019

Greater Manchester commissioners are keen to hear community pharmacists’ views on what training, protocols and other support is needed in light of changes in prescribing practice for OTC products. In future, GPs across Greater Manchester GPs will be prescribing far fewer medicines for self-limiting or minor illness (other than those with long-term conditions). This means that more patients will be directed to community pharmacies to seek advice and then purchase these items.

Commissioners want to make sure that pharmacists feel comfortable providing advice to these patients on their clinical conditions. They have launched a consultation survey to hear what support/training community pharmacists would like.

We would really encourage pharmacists to complete this survey.

Complete the survey.
