Greater Manchester LPC Event: Important Update! – Year 3 CPCF – Sunday 19th September

Greater Manchester LPC Event: Important Update! – Year 3 CPCF – Sunday 19th September

September 13, 2021

In light of the ongoing pressures pharmacies are facing in Greater Manchester currently, we have made the decision to move our year 3 CPCF and AGM face to face event to a virtual event via Zoom.

The face to face event has now been cancelled so please do not attend the venue on  Sunday

The event will now run 10am-11:30am on Sunday 19th September via Zoom.

We hope that that these changes will make the event more accessible to contractors.

For any contractors who have already signed up to the event, we will be sending an updated email with the Zoom joining link out to all attendees via Eventbrite, so please look out for this email.

Action for contractors: For anyone who is not signed up to the event, you can book your place here.

We would strongly encourage contractors, Pharmacy teams and locum pharmacists to book on to attend this event to ensure you have the latest updates relating to the recent year 3 contract updates announced by PSNC.

This is a critical time for Community Pharmacy and we will need to deliver new services and PQS in the coming months.

GMLPC have planned this event to support and update you all on the upcoming changes that will affect you in the coming months and therefore early planning to deliver the requirements is  essential.

  • Highly accomplished guest speakers who can offer insight, knowledge and expertise on sector updates and the impact on Community Pharmacy including James Wood – Director of Contractor and LPC support  from PSNC.

The updates will include the following:

  • Updates on the national Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework Year 3 Negotiations and how this will impact you and your teams.
  • Guidance on the Expanded New Medicines Service (NMS) including guidance on how you can improve uptake and delivery to improve patient outcomes.
  • Updates on new nationally commissioned  services such as the Hypertension case finding and Stop smoking services and how these will work in practice.
  • Guidance on how you can achieve the Pharmacy Quality Scheme criterion.
  • Advice and support to deliver  GP CPCS and DMS
  • Highly accomplished guest speakers who can offer insight, knowledge and expertise on sector updates and the impact on Community Pharmacy.
