Interim community pharmacy contract 2019/20

The Department of Health and Social Care and PSNC, the community pharmacy negotiating body, have agreed an interim contract and funding arrangements for community pharmacies for the first six months of 2019/20.

You can read full details on the PSNC website but in summary:

  • Current funding arrangements continue until 30th September, while negotiations on longer-term funding continue
  • Category M prices will increase by £10m a month
  • There will be no Quality Payments scheme between 1st April and 30th September 2019
  • NUMSAS is being extended to 30th September 2019
  • Contractors can do up to 200 MURs between 1st April and 30th September 2019
  • The Pharmacy Access Scheme will continue under these interim arrangements

The DHSC and PSNC hope to agree a new contract that will start from 1st October 2019.
