Lateral Flow Device (LFD) Distribution Service Reminders – Ordering Stock/Submitting Weekly Data

Lateral Flow Device (LFD) Distribution Service Reminders – Ordering Stock/Submitting Weekly Data

June 4, 2021

Contractors signed up to provide the NHS community pharmacy COVID-19 lateral flow device (LFD) distribution service (Pharmacy Collect) are reminded that they must order stock from wholesalers as soon as possible, and record a range of information at the end of each week.

Ordering Stock

We advise you place an order as soon as possible to avoid the payment of the service set-up fee being questioned.

The test kits must be ordered from a wholesaler, please find a list of participating wholesalers here.

Submitting Weekly Data

Contractors must also record a range of information on the NHS Business Services Authority’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal by close of business on the pharmacy’s last trading day of each week, including the wholesaler supplying the tests and the quantity of cartons received.

If this data is not submitted, The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) may suspend the ability of pharmacies to order more stock.

This service aims to improve access to COVID-19 testing by making LFD test kits readily available for asymptomatic people which will help identify COVID-positive cases in the community and break the chain of transmission.

It is therefore critical that this data is submitted to support the monitoring of the service by NHS Test and Trace, and to ensure compliance with their contractual responsibilities outlined in the service specification.

Further information on the service can be found here. If you have any questions about the service please contact pharmacy.collect.queries@dhsc.gov.uk.
