MP Engagement – Contacting Your Local MP

March 5, 2021

GMLPC recently attended two virtual briefing events with local Labour (26/02) and Conservative (04/03) MPs to provide an overview of the key challenges currently faced by Community Pharmacy.

Greater Manchester MPs are keen to do more to support the sector, and have been advised that visiting local pharmacies in their constituency is one of the most effective ways to better understand these challenges from a front-line perspective.

Action for contractors:

We encourage you to get in touch with your local MP over the coming days to arrange a pharmacy visit or a Zoom call. We have sent an email to all contractors which includes a list of local MPs for each constituency, a letter template to MPs, and a briefing that details key statistics on the impact of Covid-19 on Community Pharmacy which can be used in conversations with your MPs.

We encourage you to complete this in the next few days to support the national effort in gaining support for the community pharmacy sector.

If you did not receive this email or would like further support with contacting your local MP please contact
