NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) Greater Manchester Strategic Funding for Enhanced Research Delivery 2021-22

NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) Greater Manchester Strategic Funding for Enhanced Research Delivery 2021-22

May 7, 2021

CRN Greater Manchester has been successful in many of the NIHR CRN specialty and delivery areas in previous years. Together we have been able to support over 750,000 people to access regional research studies.

To further enhance these research opportunities, strategic funding will be made available for 2021-22 to support proposals from Greater Manchester Partner Organisations and communities to further research delivery targeting:

  • Multimorbidity
  • The health and care needs of our population
  • Inclusion and increased representation of local communities
  • Delivering research outside of hospital settings
  • Recovery, Resilience and Growth

Strategic proposals can be submitted using the application link found here. The closing date is the 28th May 2021.

A review will be carried out by CRN Greater Manchester leadership team to finalise funding awards from June 2021. We strongly recommend a discussion with CRN core team leaders and managers prior to submissions, whose contact details are included in the application link above.

If successful, applicants will work with the CRN Research Delivery Managers to submit a mid-year report in October 2021 and a final year report in March 2022 to provide progress and impact updates to the CRN.
