Public health promotion campaign – January 2020

January 3, 2020

1st January – 29th February 2020: Focus On Alcohol

Pharmacies should receive resources from the Central Team relating to Dry January from 31st December 2019. The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership will be sending further resources from 13th January 2020 with a focus on alcohol and pregnancy (Drymester) in January and regarding the Big Alcohol Conversation in February. Details regarding both initiatives are contained within the campaign brief.

To ensure the collection of more meaningful data for Greater Manchester, GMHSCP have now included demographic questions within the PharmOutcomes module.

The questions for this campaign incorporate  all aforementioned initiatives and now have signposting in the event that you are concerned about alcohol consumption (for anyone who answers 9+glasses/pints/22+ units on a weekly basis) :via Public Health England FAST tool

Pharmacies have until 31st March 2020 to record interventions on PharmOutcomes.
