Salford & Trafford: EoI for needle exchange / supervised consumption

Salford & Trafford pharmacies are invited to submit expressions of interest by Friday 1st February in providing needle exchange and/or supervised consumption (NX/SC) services from 1st April 2019. You should already have received the email below from CHL, the community pharmacy provider company, which is managing the process. Re: Needle Exchange and Supervised Consumption Services in Bolton, Salford and Trafford

Needle Exchange

Please find attached a letter from Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) to inform you that a full review of Needle Exchange services across Bolton, Salford and Trafford are now taking place. GMMH will be ending the current service specifications on the 31st March 2019 and replacing them with new service specifications following a tender process in each area. The tender process will be managed by us, CPGM Healthcare Ltd (CHL).

If you would like to be considered to continue to provide the Needle Exchange Service, then you must complete the Expression of Interest via Survey Monkey by Friday 1st February 2019:

CCA and Multiples: Please check with your head office before responding as they may be completing the E.O.I. on your behalf.

If you currently provide a needle exchange service and no longer wish to do so, please also inform GMMH as soon as possible.

Supervised Consumption

GMMH intend to extend the current observed consumption SLAs for a further 12 months. If you are not currently providing this service and wish to do so, please indicate on the attached E.O.I. If you currently provide the service and no longer wish to do so, please let GMMH know as soon as possible.
