Wigan MAS: Best practice guidance after audit

April 24, 2019

We’ve produced some important guidance to help pharmacies providing Wigan’s Minor Ailments Service (MAS), with practical ‘best practice’ tips based on findings from a detailed audit by commissioners.

The audit identified some fantastic examples of good practice, as well as some areas where pharmacies could unwittingly expose patients to serious harm – for example, by providing duplicates and repeats – as well as some instances of poor record-keeping and information governance.

Please read this important guidance and make sure the whole pharmacy team is following the correct practices.
