Letter and agreement document published that sets out how a COVID-19 vaccination service will be commissioned directly from community pharmacy.

Dr Keith Ridge, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for England recently issued the following letter and agreement document:

• COVID-19 vaccination letter: Governance, handling, and preparation of vaccines by designated community pharmacies

– sets out the principles and expectations necessary to maintain the integrity, and therefore safety, quality and effectiveness, of COVID-19 vaccines.

• COVID-19 LES agreement document

– sets out how a COVID-19 vaccination service will be commissioned directly from community pharmacy.
