Contract variation for the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Based Service (CBS) contract for provision of free emergency contraception for under 25s

Please find attached information relating to the contract variation for Leicestershire and Rutland Community Based Service (CBS) contract for provision of free emergency contraception for under 25s.

The contract variation changes the type of oral emergency contraception supply to Uliprital acetate (UPA) with the option to supply Levonorgestel (LNG) where UPA is not appropriate for the client. Two new patient group directions (PGDs) have been developed to support this change.

The contract variation commences from 1 July 2019.

Changes to the Public Health claims system will made for the submission of claims from quarter 2, 2019/20 to reflect the changes in payment in this contract variation.
