Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland STP COVID-19 Vaccinations update

Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland STP COVID-19 Vaccinations update

December 21, 2020

Primary Care Support, NHS England and NHS Improvement – Midlands have issued the following guidance:

As preparation for the vaccination of frontline healthcare staff gathers pace, the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland STP have laid out initial steps to help STP colleagues at the forefront of the vaccination programme to identify those staff requiring prioritisation.

The following document outlines the initial phases of identification. The process for returning completed risk stratification assessments will be confirmed shortly.

Risk Stratification for Staff Vaccines – action required in preparation for the new year

As the hospital hub and PCN vaccine programme gets under way, it is important that we build into our plans an approach to identify cohorts of staff that should be prioritised for the vaccinations.  As a system we have prepared a risk stratification tool that will allow employers to easily identify groups of staff that require prioritisation for the vaccine.  The LLR risk stratification process is a solution until any further national guidance becomes available.

As employers, please start using this to identify the staff you would prioritise ready for contact from the system; for slots that have been allocated to staff at the hospital hub.  These requests will be coming out in the new year as vaccines become available.
