Research In Community Pharmacy
My name is Clare Daly and I am a pharmacist employed by NIHR (research arm of the NHS) to promote and support research in community and primary care pharmacy. I have been in post a while and supported 105 pharmacies across Eastern to be involved in research.
The studies involve pharmacy teams helping to support an established approved study, where the roles and remuneration would be given at an ‘expression of interest’ stage allowing you to assess your interest, capacity and capability.
I can also support pharmacists to investigate their own research question by signposting to the appropriate support.
I will use this space to advertise suitable studies for you to get involved in, and any relevant training opportunities.

Act Med Study
Many of you were involved in this study previously by completing a questionnaire for ActMed. They are now in a later phase of the study and would like to invite community pharmacists (those working within community pharmacies but not GP practices) to take part in a one-off interview (no longer than 30 minutes).
The study team are keen that the voice of community pharmacy is heard as it is often under-represented in research.
Where participants provide the team with an ODS code for their community pharmacy their participation can be uploaded to the central portfolio office and attributed to the pharmacy and respective Clinical Research Network. In addition, they will receive a £30 Amazon voucher as reimbursement for their time.
