Maternity Services MK

December 17, 2020

Dr. Sanhita Chakrabarti  Clinical Lead Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group requests that pharmacy colleagues in Milton Keynes advise expectant mothers to book directly into maternity services. They  don’t need to go via GP. Booking early in pregnancy has benefits for both mum and baby.

Dr Chakrabarti says, “We want to get as many mothers to book in with their Midwifery unit by 10 weeks in their pregnancy. This helps with identifying problems early in mums. Presently we have 74% women accessing the antenatal care by 10weeks. We need to get 95% of women accessing midwife by 10 weeks.

Please promote this information widely.
