GP-CPCS – pharmacy expression of interest

GP-CPCS – pharmacy expression of interest

October 23, 2020

We are in the early stages of planning the roll out of GP-CPCS – just like 111-CPCS, but the referral comes practices. There have been a number of pilots and NHSE are now ready to soft launch on the 1st November. This means the service will technically go live, but sites will only be set up when they are ready and have agreed exactly how the referral process will work.

If you have good local relationships and your GPs are interested in exploring further can you send details to the LPC – your pharmacy details, key contact at the pharmacy, practice details and key contact at the practice. The LPC will collate these and feed them back to NHSE.

There are no promises – this is purely getting an early indication of interest, as it is expected to take 2 years to fully roll out GP-CPCS.
