Nottinghamshire LPC AGM 2021

August 15, 2021

The Nottinghamshire LPC Annual General Meeting 2021 – Wednesday 15th September 2021 @ 1pm via Zoom virtual meeting

Due to the Coronavirus restrictions this year the AGM will be held as part of the normal LPC meeting via Zoom.  Contractors are welcome to join the AGM to discuss the past year with LPC members and agree the yearly accounts (this can also be done by postal vote).  You are also welcome to stay online for the afternoon session of the LPC meeting.

Please find AGM documents on the AGM 2021 page

As part of the AGM we are also calling a special contractor meeting with regards to changing the constitution to allow current LPC members to stay in post for another year so moving elections to 2023.

We are also inviting you to a special meeting for contractors which is being called to amend the LPC Constitution to allow the Committee to delay the elections for LPC membership by one year.

Currently Members Term of Office expire on 31st March 2022. However, proposals for change about the future model of local and national contractor representation and support, are likely to be put to a contractor vote within the next year. For this reason, the Committee considers that the elections should be delayed until later in the year when the new model of support has been determined by the sector. To achieve this, we propose to amend the Constitution of the Rotherham LPC as follows:

Existing Clause – 13. Term of Office

  • Subject to paragraphs 14 and 16, members of the Committee shall hold office from 1 April in the year of the election or appointment for a period of 4 years.

New Clause – 13. Term of Office

  • Subject to paragraphs 14 and 16, members of the Committee shall hold office from 1 April in the year of the election or appointment for a period of 4 years. [Except that the term of office starting on 1 April 2022 shall be postponed until 1 April 2023 and current LPC members shall hold office for a period of 5 years.]

A voting form will be available on the website page if you are unable to attend the special meeting.   Please send any voting forms to Alison Ellis, Admin Secretary (details above) by 5pm Tuesday 13th September 2021.
