As part of PSNC’s training on the commissioning cycle, this is a practical programme with lots of tips for developing your material and increasing your impact – with commissioners, evolving care organisations and a wide range of other stakeholders.

We explore what makes a memorable presentation, the key characteristics of robust arguments, preparing for a presentation or negotiation, ensuring clarity and focus and structuring your presentation or your argument for impact.

We look at techniques and approaches to building rapport with your audience and the psychology of effective presentations and skilled negotiators.

To make the most of this course, it helps to have a specific presentation or negotiation challenge in mind. That way, you may find that not only do you learn but you can also use the opportunity to do some practical, relevant and specific preparation.

Leading the day

Bringing a fresh approach to presentation and negotiation, Rachel Harrison has an impressive track record in working with senior management teams. In the last fifteen years, she has worked in 31 countries on three continents.  Having provided training and leadership development for LPCs several years, Rachel has a good understanding of the environment and challenges faced by LPCs.

She brings an external and seasoned eye that can help people obtain new perspectives, consider new ways of doing things and invent new options.
