Early sign-up fee for C-19 test distribution service deadline approaches

April 16, 2021

Community pharmacy contractors who have not yet signed up to the new Advanced service – the NHS community pharmacy COVID-19 lateral flow device distribution service – but are intending to do so, are reminded that there is an early sign-up fee for those who sign up to provide the service by Sunday 18th April 2021.

Contractors who sign up by 18th April 2021 and who deliver the service until 30th June 2021 will receive an early sign-up fee of £200 + VAT. A one-off set-up fee of £250 + VAT will also be paid to contractors who sign up to the service, which covers set-up costs including creating a standard operating procedure for the service and training staff who will be involved in providing the service, and storage costs for the test kits ordered from wholesalers.

Contractors who sign up to provide the service by 18th April 2021 will therefore receive £450 + VAT in up-front payments for the service, in addition to the service fee for each transaction undertaken.

PSNC has published a number of resources to support contractors with the implementation and delivery of this new service. Further information on the service requirements, the service specification and the additional PSNC resources can all be accessed on our new C-19 lateral flow device distribution service webpage.
